An Open Letter to the Minnesota GOP

Dear Republicans - and Tea Partiers, this means you too.

You have left the important business for which you were elected go too late.

Your priorities were stupid culture war issues which your constituents overwhelmingly did not elect you to address.

Your proposed solutions fail to accurately define problems, and consistently benefit only a tiny proportion of Minnesotans who are wealthy.

You have utterly failed to address serious economic challenges facing Minnesota, or to come up with a single solution to any problem which is not a hackneyed, failed old solution.

And now, NOW, you have the appalling arrogance to complain that the Democrats are unwilling to make any compromises, despite them having offered reasonable and workable compromises to you.  YOU have failed to agree to any compromise.

Are you utterly unaware that compromise means both sides make changes to what they propose, so as to make a concession that is important and acceptable to the other side?  Maybe you need to consult a good dictionary.  No, that isn't really the problem.  The idea that you have a mandate you really DON'T have is your problem.  The idea that failed, backward solutions which do not benefit the larger population of Minnesota is the problem.

Minnesota GOP (and Tea Party) be put on notice.   This is what OVER REACH looks like; you do it every damn time you are elected.  You are doing it now.  And every time after you make this same mistake, you are voted out by an angry electorate.

You still have the option to improve on this, but the clock is ticking.

Tick tock tick tock tick tock.

Now wake up and pay attention; because you aren't going to like it when the alarm on that clock goes off.  Because then? Then it will already be too late for YOU.

It already appears to be too late for the rest of us who live here and have to suffer through your decisions wihle in power, at least, for now.
